TO LOVE MERCY portrays 1940s Chicago from the South Side to the long-gone Riverview amusement park -- with stops at Comiskey Park (White Sox), the Bronzeville black ghetto, the Maxwell Street flea market and more. Two boys -- one white and Jewish, the other black and the son of a storefront preacher -- feel the impact of racism and hostility as they scour the city for a missing silver talisman.
